  • Account Change Request
    • To change your name on your APCU account(s), you will need to provide a copy of your updated Driver's License or State ID, as well as, your Social Security Card or Social Security document noting the name change request.
    • In addition, we also need one of the following documents showing the reason for your updated name:
      • Marriage Certificate
      • Divorce Decree
      • Adoption Papers
      • Other Court Documents
    • Please note: APCU cannot accept a driver's license as sole proof of identity because of potential fraud risk. It is important that your name on your APCU account(s) matches the name on file with the IRS. If there is a discrepancy, the IRS might require APCU to withhold taxes from your transactions.

    • To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
    • What This Means For You
      When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
